Surrealism Boat Art -

In Reception our current topic is 'Are We Nearly There Yet?' Within this topic we have been exploring different artists. The artist we explored this week was Vladmir Kush, who is a Russian artist, he incorporated butterflies into his boat pictures. He used the butterflies as sails! We then had a go at making our own version. We are so happy with how we cut and stuck.

Kandinsky Inspired Art

In maths we have been learning about shapes and this week we have focused on circles. We read the book Circle by Mac Barnett and also learnt about the Russian artist Kandinsky. Within his art pieces he used bright colours and circles. We have had a go at creating our own art pieces in the style of him!

SUPERHEROES = PARAMEDICS

At school we have been learning about people who help us! This week we learnt about paramedics and we were so lucky because we were able to have an ambulance come into school with 2 real life superheroes!

We learnt about how ambulances work, and we all the different equipment that is needed to run an ambulance. We listened to a story about paramedics and our superheroes role - played the story for us!

We had an amazing time and can't thank our superheroes enough for everything they do! We all now want to grow up and be paramedics!

Come and See - God's Love For Me

We made clay hearts to represent how much God loves us and how much we love him. We took our time and thought about how we could make our hearts and what shape we wanted them to be. Once they had dried we then painted them pink with glitter in them to make them extra special.
