Our Curriculum intention was written by the staff of St Teresa's collectively, identifying what we want for all our pupils across the curriculum.

Our Curriculum Intention:

‘Igniting young minds with an evolving, engaging and enriching curriculum.’

Our Curriculum intention Statement:

The curriculums have each been carefully designed, delivered and evaluated by teachers to create a broad, balanced, enriching and challenging curriculum for all children, regardless of their starting points, to access, be appropriately challenged and be inspired from.

Underpinning the foundation curriculum is critical thinking to enable rich learning experiences in a student lead, engaging atmosphere. Our intention, at St Teresa’s, is to provide depth within the subjects being taught, providing the competencies and dispositions that will prepare our children to be creative, connected and lifelong problem solving learners ready for the future. We develop reading, writing, phonic and mathematical skills in a cross curricular way to provide an enjoyable curriculum that gives our pupils the important skills to communicate and provide them with the foundations for future learning.

Our Curriculum’s intention is to provide ‘endless possibilities and opportunities’. Teachers provide every opportunity for the children through rich experiences to thrive in our society and community, teaching them the skills and knowledge for jobs of the future that do not yet exist. We plan to teach each skill from the National Curriculum, building on the children’s prior knowledge and skills from previous years. We aim to provide every possibility to acquire knowledge, apply and use skills in a creative, fun and enriching environment.

The implementation of our Curriculum is done through effective leadership, detailed below in the policies written by our subject leaders.
